Czech nymph (leaded) step by step.

Here is a sbs, on a Czech nymph that has fished well for me for grayling and trout.
Place the hook in vise, here i am tying on a Knapek Czech nymph hook size 10.
Above i have put down a layer of white thread, which is Danville 70 denier and a layer of round lead

Now i have wound on anothe layer of lead,
And again, another layer of lead i have been using medium size.
Now i tie in some clear 6lb mono for rib, and coat the lead with thread and varnish to hold it all in place.
Now i have taken the thread back to the bend of hook, and dubbed on some hare ear hair to the thread
Above i have dubbed whole body, and put a pink hot spot in the middle of body.
Now i tie in some body stretch pink for the back of nymph,
Above, you can see i have pulled the body stretch to the rear of nymph. and tied it in,
Here i use a debarbing tool, to flatten the body of the nymph. to give it a nice shrimpy look, not round. and use a dubbing brush to bring out the fibers of the hares ear to form legs of the nymph.
Now above, you can see the slimmer look.
Now i have used a marker pen to darken the head of nymph, and coated the body stretch with Deercreek UV resin,
And above, showing the back of Czech nymph.

Irish shrimp, step by step.

Here is the Wilkinson Irish shrimp pattern step by step, these are a great style of fly. and do catch a lot of fish, i also like tying these on a slim tube. this one is tied on a gold Deercreek size 6 double,

Now we catch in the oval tinsel medium silver, for the tag.
Here the tag is wrapped on, and tied off and trimmed.

Above the feather is wound on, and tied off.
Now trim off the unwanted feather parts,
 Now tie in the rib,
Here i have tied in the silver body, and wound it on.

Now i tie in the Silver Doctor saddle hackle,

Secret weapon step by step.

This pattern is used a lot, on the rivers of Wales for Sewin (sea run brownies).
First put the stinger treble in the vise, here i am using a size 12 to match up with a size 4 Kamasan B175. and it can be tied is smaller and bigger sizes, it is used when on nights fish a taking short and plucking at the tail of the fly.
Now i catch in the tying thread, here i am using Danville hot orange 70 denier. the nylon i am using is Amnesia memory free monofilament, and great for holding its shape.
Now i twist the mono, by hand over hand. this is the only way to do it, for it to stay that way.
Above is the finished hook link,
Next i coat the tying thread with Deercreek UV resin, to seal the thread.
Next i place the size 4 B175 in the vise,
Now i put down a layer of white Danville thread, this one being 210 denier.
Now i tie in the hook link, in touching turns.
Now trim the hook link, 3/4 up the hook shank.
Now using a lighter, burr over the mono ends.
Here we finish the tying of the thread, and tie off.
Now i coat the thread on the shank, with thinned 60 second nail varnish. this when dry will never pull off,
Here we start to dress the fly, holographic silver body and hackle. which is going to be a Squirrel blue and silver secret weapon.
I have now wound on the hackle, and tied off the thread. i am using Danville white 70 denier,
Now we tie in the wing, using Squirrel tail, to the length of the stinger hook.
Now we tie in some micro silver tinsel.
Now i change the thread, this time for making a nice red head.

And above is the finished fly, with a nice glossy head. with a coat of thinned nail varnish, and one coat of Deercreek Uv resin to finish head. this is a pattern i use a lot in this make up, and also tied single and double hooks. as well as snake / waddingtons and tubes. just a great catcher of fish,
